This collection features a pair of vintage miniature hand-painted ceramic figurines produced in mid-century Japan. The set depicts a classic peasant couple: a young woman styled in a green headscarf, purple blouse, and a yellow skirt accented by a white apron with blue scrolling details, and a young man outfitted in a brown hood, green jacket, and white trousers patterned with small blue floral and holly motifs. Standing approximately 3.25 inches tall, these tiny figures make an excellent addition to a printer's drawer, shadow box, or curiosity cabinet. The underside of the boy figurine features the historical red stamp reading "MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN," dating its manufacture to the post-WWII era between 1945 and 1952, while the girl figurine is stamped "JAPAN".
